Think about the process - you go in, tick off you name and get a form, enter your choice and place it into a communal box - how on earth are they expected to identify that 80% of males vote for X? All you can do is that 80% of the people who submitted their vote at polling booth Y votedX - but in Australia you can vote in one of 15-20 booths within your electorate or as an absentee voter in any voting booth in the state.
