What's the driving force behind consciousness?

According to my theory,the brain utilize's biochemical electrical energy,to obtain information through sensory mechanisms(5 senses)to survive in our environment thats full of dangerous,obstacles or predators that may result in injury or death,these sensory mechanisms evolved over millions of years and thats why we are conscious of our serroundings,its our environment that was the stimulant for sensory traits that we inherit from our primal ancestors.
